介詞是虛詞，介詞不能單獨(dú)作句子成分，只能用在名詞、代詞或作用相當(dāng)于名詞的 其他詞、詞組或從句之前，與之一起構(gòu)成介詞短語充當(dāng)句子成分。介詞在英語中用得極 為廣泛、靈活，可組成許多成語和習(xí)慣用法，因此學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)要特別注意。$lesson$
1.介詞的種類
(1)簡單介詞
on，in，with，by，for，about等
(2)合成介詞

(3)短語介詞
by means of，because of，according to，in respect of，in contrast with，in spite of
(4)分詞介詞
including，concerning，considering，regarding，provided，given
2.介詞短語
介詞短語是由介詞和構(gòu)成介詞短語的那部分名詞或相當(dāng)于名詞的其他詞或短語構(gòu)成 的。主要有下列幾種：
(1)介詞+名詞
Aluminum and zinc can easily combine with the oxygen in the air. 鋁和鋅很容易與空 氣，戶的氧化合。
(2)介詞+代詞
How much luggage can I take with me? 我能帶多少行李?
(3)介詞+動(dòng)名詞
You learn to speak English by speaking it. 你用說英語這種方式來學(xué)說英語。
(4)介詞+數(shù)詞
Everything divides into two. 事物都是一分為二的。
(5)介詞+另一個(gè)介詞短語
The air was removed from between the two pipes. 空氣已從兩管之間抽出。
(6)介詞+形容詞或副詞

We have made some progress，but it is far from enough. 我們已經(jīng)取得了一些進(jìn)步， 但還遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)不夠。

(7)介詞十不定式
The airplane is about to take off. 這架飛機(jī)正要起飛。
(8)介詞十分詞
I consider the problem as settled. 我認(rèn)為這個(gè)問題已經(jīng)解決了。
(9)介詞+從句
Liquids are different from solids in that liquids have no definite shape. 液體與固體的區(qū) 別在于液體沒有固定形狀。
3.介詞的用法
(1)作狀語
According to molecular theory，all matter is made up of small particles called molecules.
根據(jù)分子理論，一切物質(zhì)都是由叫做分子的小粒子組成的。
(2)作定語
These are movies and videotapes in foreign languages. 這些是外語影片和錄像帶。
Claims beyond the responsibilities of the suppliers can not be entertained. 供方責(zé)任以外的索賠不能受理。
(3)作表語
The result is beyond expectation. 結(jié)果是出乎意外的。
(4)作主補(bǔ)和賓補(bǔ)
Petroleum is considered of great value.(主語補(bǔ)語) 石油被認(rèn)為很有價(jià)值。
A force may set the ball in motion.(賓語補(bǔ)語) 力可使球運(yùn)動(dòng)
